Promises about Reading God's Word

It (God's Word) judges the thoughts and feelings in our hearts. Hebrews 4:12

The truly happy people are those who carefully study God's perfect law that makes people free, and they continue to study it. They do not forget what they heard, but they obey what God's teaching says. Those who do this will be made happy. James 1:25

Promises about Giving to God

Give, and you will receive. You will be given much. Pressed down, shaken together, and running over, it will spill into your lap. The way you give to others is the way God will give to you. Luke 6:38

Promises about Praising God

It is the normality not the uniqueness of God's miracles that causes them to be so staggering. Rather than shocking the globe with an occasional demonstration of Deity, God has opted to display his power daily. Proverbially. Pounding waves. Prism-cast colors. Birth, death, life. We are surrounded by miracles. God is throwing testimonies at us like fireworks, each one exploding, "God is! God is!"

Promises about Serving God

In all the work you are doing, work the best you can. Work as if you were doing it for the Lord, not for people. Remember that you will receive your reward from the Lord, which he promised to his people. You are serving the Lord Christ. Colossians 3:23-24.

Promises about God's Power

"If you believe, you will get anything you ask for in prayer." Matthew 21:22.

Don't reduce this grand statement to the category of new cars and paychecks.

God wants you to fly. He wants you to fly free of yesterday's guilt. He wants you to fly free of today's fears. He wants you to fly free of tomorrow's grave. Sin, fear, and death. These are the mountains he has moved. These are the prayers he will answer.

Promises about God's Grace

Note: out for a week due to trip to Acuna, Mexico to build home for a need family. Great trip!

You may be decent. You may pay taxes and kiss your kids and sleep with a clean conscience. But apart from Christ you aren't holy. So how can you go to heaven?

Only believe. Accept the work already done, the work of Jesus on the cross.

It's that easy? ... Call it simple. Call it a gift. But don't call it easy.

Call it what is is. Call it grace.
